Jennifer Hudson Engaged to Reality Star

Jennifer Hudson is getting hitched. The Oscar winner is engaged to I Love New York 2 star David "Punk" Otunga. "I can confirm that Jennifer got engaged to her boyfriend David on Friday night in L.A.," her rep told New York's Daily News . See more celeb wedding photos. Otunga, a Harvard Law grad who has worked with Rev. Jesse Jackson's Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, popped the question on her 27th birthday. The two have been dating for less than a year. "I am very happy," Hudson told Usmagazine.com last month at a Dove event. "I don't think I have ever been happier." Hudson, who rose to fame on American Idol , nabbed a Best Supporting Oscar in 2007 for Dreamgirls and recently starred in the Sex and the City movie.
