Dread-locked Jason Castro was sent home on Wednesday's American Idol .
"I think that Jason Castro kind of hit his wall," judge Paula Abdul told Entertainment Tonight after the show. "He lacks that professionalism and that experience."
Castro, 20, famously forgot some of the lyrics to Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man" on Tuesday, prompting Simon Cowell to declare, "Jason, pack your suitcase!"
Added Abdul: "It's humbling when you forget the words, but you have to bring the song back, and his lack of experience didn't allow him to harness that ... but that's what's endearing about him too."
Abdul didn't think Castro was too bummed about being booted off.
"He made no mistake of letting it leak out of the press that he was tired and wanted to go see his girlfriend," Abdul said.
After being eliminated, Castro didn't watch his goodbye video featuring flashbacks of his time on the show, as most contestants do, a show attendee told Usmagazine.com .
