Syesha Mercado was eliminated tonight from American Idol. That leaves David Cook and David Archuleta as the final two. Archuleta inevitably has the upper hand in talent, but Cook has the advantage in marketability, plus a “rocker” hasn’t won Idol yet.

bebezane David Cook is far more versatile than Archuleta. When David A. attempts anything other than a ballad, it flops. He has a few "signature runs" which are quite captivating in ballads but despite the fact they don't work for other types of music, he apparently can't stop himself from trying to get them in there.
