American Idol - I'm the One That You Want —
This is the last week of eliminations to reach the Top 12 finalists, and, we must admit, the men are sounding pretty good. Most of them were able to find songs that both fit their voices and style for the week's theme, which is the '80s. Of course, we had to sit through the video clip for each contestant. The theme of those was "my most embarrassing moment," and, frankly, some were just TMI. Did we really need to know that David Hernandez did a photo shoot with a big booger hanging out of his nose? And did that bit of TMI knock him to the No. 7 (of 8) ranking on DialIdol.com, even though he did a nice job with his song? Actually, it was Danny Noriega ...
American Idol 2008 - Top 8 Men Performances

American Idol entered week three last night with a vengeance. There are 16 contestants remaining, and last night’s show was the Top 8 Men. How great were the performances last night? They were far above and beyond what the men gave us last week and much closer to what we expect from American Idol 2008. After watching last night’s show I actually think we could do away with the women’s portion and just continue the show with the men and I’d be perfectly happy.

Simon Cowell Comments on David Hernandez Stripping

Last night, I thought I heard Simon Cowell make a comment to Paula Abdul about stripping while David Hernandez was singing, but I didn't know for sure until I watched this video clip again. It sounds like Simon is saying to Paula: "Say, I like the way you stripped." or something close to that...I bet Simon would've enjoyed it better if he was stripping - at least I know I would have. At least there are some interesting things going on for American Idol Season 7 eh? Everyone seems to enjoy the scandals, but I'm missing the Sanjaya craze a little though.
