Idol Stalker — Carly Smithson sang “I Drove All Night” and I thought the singing was pretty good but I don’t really feel like she connected with the lyrics in this song, you know?  There’s an emotion and desperation there that I don’t think she tapped into.  Randy said it was another great performance, Paula said she was totally in her niche and Simon said that he doesn’t think she picked the right song (again).   I gotta mention that he pants are atrocious but her mom (in the audience from Ireland) looks incredibly young! ...
