Top 2 Performance Night - Theme: The Finals!!! Duh!!! Let's get right down to the comparisons. Who's better at the PR game? David Archuleta has always played the aw-shucks-I'm-just-a-perfect-boy card that's probably been rehearsed and drilled into him by his infamous father to the point where I really think David A. believes it and doesn't know any better. David Cook stayed true to himself tonight on the final performance show for the seventh season of American Idol. He performed “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” along with the songwriter’s choice “Dream Big” and “The World I Know.” It wasn’t his strongest night but I think he has a loyal fanbase (and a great future) to buoy him. This could be a very close race.

The first third of the American Idol finale is in the history books everywhere in the country! (Except maybe Hawaii, although maybe not—after all, since the weather there is so nice it would make sense to have "prime time" at 5 p.m. so as to maximize the enjoyment of their evenings.)
